Ultra-high-temperature insulation

Alumina fiber blanket/bulk (1600C class)

Product description: based on high-purity alumina, made by sol-gel or melt fiberization and needled into blankets. Microcrystalline mullite/alumina phases for ultra-high-temperature insulation.

Product features: max service temperature up to 1600C, low thermal conductivity and low heat capacity; low shrinkage with chemical erosion and thermal shock resistance; almost shot-free, flexible, and resistant to gas erosion; uniform fiber diameter, high tensile strength, and excellent thermal stability.

Typical applications: ethylene cracking furnace columns and corners, hot-face protection in steel continuous annealing lines, combustor hot-face backup, insulation for semiconductor and fuel cell high-temperature equipment.

High-temperature shrinkage control

Zirconia-containing ceramic fiber blanket/bulk (1430C class)

Product description: ZrO2-added Al2O3-SiO2 needled fiber blanket optimized for high-temperature shrinkage control and slag resistance.

Product features: classification temperature 1430C; resists high-temperature shrinkage and glass/alkali slag attack; low thermal conductivity and good flexibility.

Typical applications: hot-end zones in glass furnaces, steel continuous annealing/galvanizing lines, and petrochemical high-temperature reactors.

High thermal stability

High-alumina ceramic fiber blanket/bulk (1400C class)

Product description: high-Al2O3 aluminosilicate fibers made by blowing or spinning, then needled into blankets.

Product features: classification temperature 1400C; higher thermal stability and strength than 1260C class; low thermal conductivity and good thermal shock resistance.

Typical applications: high-temperature backup or local hot-face zones in reheating furnaces, soaking pits, and regeneration units.

General insulation

High-purity/standard ceramic fiber blanket/bulk (1260C class)

Product description: classic Al2O3-SiO2 fiber system, available in high-purity and standard grades, needled into blankets.

Product features: classification temperature 1260C; low thermal conductivity and heat capacity with thermal shock resistance; binder-free for easy installation.

Typical applications: backup layers for industrial furnaces, expansion joints, furnace door seals, and raw material for modules/folded blocks.

Mid-temperature cost-effective

Aluminosilicate fiber blanket/bulk (1140C class)

Product description: mid-temperature aluminosilicate fibers, needled into blankets with good cost performance.

Product features: classification temperature 1140C; low thermal conductivity with good thermal stability; suitable for large-area insulation.

Typical applications: mid-to-high temperature furnace backup layers, electric furnaces, and outer insulation layers for heat treatment furnaces.

Soluble fiber insulation

Magnesium silicate (AES) fiber blanket (700C class, hydrophobic optional)

Product description: CaO/MgO-SiO2 (AES) soluble fiber system, needled into blankets with optional hydrophobic treatment.

Product features: service temperature -50 to 700C; low thermal conductivity and soft hand; hydrophobic option for humid environments; fine, uniform fibers with reduced skin irritation.

Typical applications: insulation for hot/cold media pipelines and vessels in power, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries; equipment external insulation layers.

Low-to-mid temperature insulation

Glass wool / rock wool (low-to-mid temperature insulation materials)

Product description: mineral fiber wool made from glass or basalt by centrifugal or blowing fiberization.

Product features: typical thermal conductivity about 0.032 W/m-K for glass wool, 0.035-0.045 W/m-K for rock wool; A-class non-combustible with good sound absorption.

Typical applications: insulation for low-to-mid temperature equipment and buildings, pipe insulation, and backup insulation layers.

Lining separation and flame blocking

Fire-block board (1430 zirconia | 1400 high-alumina | 1260 high-purity)

Product description: high-strength rigid boards made from matching grade ceramic fiber bulk, vacuum formed with high-temperature reinforcement additives. Used for lining separation, flame blocking, and resisting some gas erosion.

Product features: classification temperature 1430 / 1400 / 1260C; rigid and self-supporting with high room-temperature flexural and compressive strength; low thermal conductivity and low heat capacity; good thermal stability and shock resistance; machinable and cuttable with high dimensional accuracy.

Typical applications: backup in glass furnace melt tanks, flame blocking in burner zones; hot-face lining and partitions on ceramic kiln cars; flame-blocking insulation boards in petrochemical cracking and reforming furnaces.

Medium-to-high strength insulation board

Machine-pressed board (1430 zirconia | 1400 high-alumina | 1260 high-purity/standard)

Product description: medium-to-high strength boards made from ceramic fiber bulk by vacuum forming and mechanical pressing, with higher density than standard vacuum-formed felt. Provides insulation with some load-bearing capacity.

Product features: classification temperature 1430 / 1400 / 1260C; homogeneous structure, low thermal conductivity (<=0.135 W/m-K at 500C typical); higher strength and wear resistance than fiber blankets/felts; can be carved, punched, or laminated into complex shapes.

Typical applications: expansion joints and insulation spacers in steel continuous annealing lines; covers for nonferrous metal tundishes and launders; rigid insulation layers replacing fiber blankets on hot-face zones.

Backup insulation behind dense refractories

Backing board (1260 standard | 1140 class)

Product description: continuous-process medium-density ceramic fiber boards with high fiber content and uniform structure, used as backup insulation behind dense refractories.

Product features: classification temperature 1260 / 1140C; low thermal conductivity and heat capacity; higher compressive strength than fiber blankets; non-brittle with good toughness, easy to machine and install.

Typical applications: furnace wall backup and insulation layers for cement rotary kilns, glass furnaces, ceramic tunnel kilns, heat treatment furnaces, and aluminum electrolysis cells.

Elastic insulation board

Semi-rigid board (1140 class)

Product description: semi-rigid boards between fiber blankets and rigid boards, vacuum formed with some elasticity and strength.

Product features: classification temperature 1140C; low thermal conductivity with thermal shock resistance; good elasticity and non-brittle; easy to cut and install for backup and filling.

Typical applications: furnace backup, wall lining, and lining insulation; mid-temperature equipment such as electric furnaces and heat treatment furnaces.

Board dimensions and packaging

Standard sizes

Boards: 900x600 / 1200x600 mm, thickness 20-50 mm.

Packaging: cartons or pallets; large sizes individually shrink-wrapped or on wood pallets.

Monolithic lining modules

Fiber module / folded block series

Made from matching-grade ceramic fiber blankets or alumina fiber blankets, cut, laminated, folded, and compressed into monolithic lining components with metal anchors; folded blocks are preforms without anchors.

Product features: low thermal conductivity and low heat capacity; small permanent linear change after heating; high thickness recovery (>=90%); gas erosion resistance (up to 30-50 m/s); fast installation, fewer joints, and low heat loss; structure and anchoring can be customized to furnace design and expansion direction.

Typical applications: steel reheating furnaces, continuous annealing lines, ethylene cracking furnaces, reformers, glass furnaces, ceramic roller kilns, and heat treatment furnaces as hot-face or backup all-fiber linings; sight ports, furnace doors, and corner reinforcement zones.
