Vacuum-formed ceramic fiber board is made from ceramic fiber cotton using a vacuum forming process. Compared with fiber blankets and vacuum-formed felts, the board provides higher rigidity and cold strength, suitable for insulation lining areas that require self-supporting strength, wind erosion resistance, and abrasion resistance. Higher density grades can be provided based on service conditions to further improve insulation performance, wear resistance, and structural strength. A small amount of organic binder is included in the formulation to enhance cold strength; it burns off during the first heating to about 200-300 C.

Product Description:

The vacuum-formed structure gives the board a uniform texture and stable dimensions, making installation and positioning easier. It is suitable for kiln linings, hot-face insulation layers, backup insulation layers, sealing insulation, and structural insulation areas that require board rigidity. Higher density grades can be used in applications with harsher airflow erosion, mechanical friction, or higher strength requirements.
